- W2022100993 abstract "Abstract The low-temperature recovery of electron-irradiated tungsten The recovery of resistivity has been studied between 4·5 and 380 K on tungsten single crystals irradiated at 4·5 K with 3 MeV-electrons. High-purity samples with residual resistivity ratio (RRR) of 8 × 104 showed eight intrinsic recovery stages: the recovery at 11, 17, 30·5 and 38 K turned out to be insensitive to impurity doping, whereas the recovery at 27, 43, 59 and 96 K is suppressed in less pure samples of RRR = 1650. The stage at 27 K apparently shifts to lower temperatures with increasing irradiation dose. The crystallographic orientation of the samples has a pronounced influence on the annealing percentage of the 17 and 30·5 K-stages. A determination of activation energies by the slope-change technique yielded the same value for the stages at 17 and 27 K. It is suggested that the 17 and the 27 K-stages represent correlated and uncorrelated recovery due to the free migration of self-interstitials. The stages at 11, 30·5 and 38 K ..." @default.
