The addition of desensitized rabbit muscle actin to the fraction increased the rate of ATP splitting in EGTA, thereby decreasing the EGTA inhibition 30–50%. We conclude that actomyosin regulation by calcium in this acellular slime mould is, at least in large part, mediated through actin." @default.
