- W2022141284 abstract "We report on the collisional energy transfer of Ar*(4s) to H2(a 3Σ+g) in an (ArH2) mixture excited by a 5 ns, 200 keV-electron pulse. The different rate constants of the kinetic reactions are derived from experiments using a time-resolved analysis of the a 3Σ+g → b3Σ+u transition versus partial pressures. A kinetic model is developed to describe the evolution of the species concentrations versus time and partial pressures. The agreement between calculations and experiments is fairly good for total pressures higher than 600 Torr. This kinetic model is used to determine the experimental conditions which must be achieved to expect a laser effect on the dissociative transition of molecular hydrogen, the upper level of the transition, H2(a 3Σ+g) being pumped by energy transfer from the 4s argon states." @default.
