- W2022171120 abstract "Abstract Results of tensile tests and hardness measurements in the temperature range 25–400°C are reported for ferritic-martensitic steels and s.a. 316 L austenitic steel. Helium concentrations up to I at.% have been introduced into these materials by α-particle (0–25 MeV) implantation and He/Fe dual-beam (15/300 keV) irradiation, respectively. In the latter case displacement damage up to 50 dpa was produced simultaneously with the introduction of He. From a preliminary analysis of the results and a comparison with earlier data it may be concluded that for temperatures up to at least 400 C the observed hardening is dominated by displacement damage. Only for very high helium concentrations around 1 at.% a moderate further increase of hardness is found, indicating that helium does not have a drastic effect on the mechanical properties of the investigated alloys." @default.
