- W2022270792 abstract "Semi-interpenetrating polymer networks based on three dimensional polyurethane and a linear ionomer have been obtained. The sorption of benzene vapours in the systems obtained has been studied. The free energy of mixing polyurethane and the ionomer on formation of semi-interpenetrating networks and the diffusion coefficients of the solvent in the systems and the fraction of the free volume of the networks for different ratios of the components have been calculated. It is shown that three-dimensional polyurethane and a linear ionomer are thermodynamically incompatible over the whole concentration region of the semi-interpenetrating networks. The maximum incompatibility is observed in the region of small additions of polyurethane in the ionomer, which is related to the self-association of the ionic centres in the latter. Phase layering is accompanied by the formation of a transitional region where the excess free volume is concentrated." @default.
