- W2022713201 abstract "Abstract The aim of this study is to present the legal basis for the employment of medical physicists in health care institutions in Poland and to discuss the specialisation programme in the area of physical medicine, as well as the role of various institutions in the process of post-graduate training and recognition of foreign diplomas. The specialisation programme in physical medicine involves training in radiotherapy, diagnosis and nuclear medicine. Since 2011, to be eligible for participation in the specialisation programme in physical medicine, one has to hold a master degree (Pol. magister or magister inzynier) in Physics, Technical Physics or Biomedical Engineering. The process of awarding the title of specialist in medical physics is carried out in accredited health care institutions (hospitals) under direction of a specialisation programme manager. Its main objective is to teach practical professional skills which can only be acquired in a clinical setting under a direct supervision and guidance of an experienced specialist." @default.
