In marine environments, acoustic model of the water‐layer can be easily established. Using this knowledge. we can be theoretically predict one type of water‐layer related multiple, so that the elimination of its is a simple subtraction. This paper proves this hypotheses with synthetic experiments, and application on field data shows promising results.Permalink: https://doi.org/10.1190/1.1851101FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited By3D wave-equation interferometric migration of VSP free-surface multiplesRuiqing He, Brian Hornby, and Gerard Schuster10 July 2007 | GEOPHYSICS, Vol. 72, No. 5 SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 2004ISSN (print):1052-3812 ISSN (online):1949-4645Copyright: 2004 Pages: 2586 publication data© 2004 Copyright © 2004 Society of Exploration GeophysicistsPublisher:Society of Exploration Geophysicists HistoryPublished: 03 Jan 2005 CITATION INFORMATION Ruiqing He, (2004), Waveform prediction of water‐layer related multiples, SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts : 1281-1284. https://doi.org/10.1190/1.1851101 Plain-Language Summary PDF DownloadLoading ..." @default.
