- W202325934 abstract "Photoexcitation of the long-lived isomers $^{123}mathrm{Te}^{mathit{m}}$, ${mathit{T}}_{1/2}$=119.7 d, and $^{125}mathrm{Te}^{mathit{m}}$, ${mathit{T}}_{1/2}$=58 d, was produced with bremsstrahlung from the superconducting Darmstadt linear accelerator. The excitation function for the reaction $^{123}mathrm{Te}$(ensuremath{gamma},ensuremath{gamma}'${)}^{123}$${mathrm{Te}}^{mathit{m}}$ was measured between 2 and 6 MeV. It indicated that the isomer was populated by resonant absorption through isolated intermediate states having integrated cross sections in excess of ${10}^{mathrm{ensuremath{-}}26}$ ${mathrm{cm}}^{2}$ keV, i.e., values about 100 times larger than most (ensuremath{gamma},ensuremath{gamma}') activation reactions reported previously. An excitation function was also obtained for the reaction $^{125}mathrm{Te}$(ensuremath{gamma},ensuremath{gamma}'${)}^{125}$${mathrm{Te}}^{mathit{m}}$ in this energy range." @default.
