- W2023311908 abstract "Abstract The juvenile hormone analogues ZR‐515 and ZR‐619 were tested alone or when combined with several synergists against 2 day‐old pupae of susceptible (S) and Fenitrothion‐resistant (R f ) strains of the Egyptian cotton leafworm Spodoptera littoralis Boisd. The resistant strain was more sensitive to the action of the two hormones as compared to the susceptible strain. In S strain, ZR‐515 produced high synergism when mixed with FDMC followed by Pb. A lower level of synergism was detected with TCP while Safrol and iso Safrol behaved as poor synergists. The compound ZR‐619 showed high synergism with TCP, nevertheless, poor synergism was produced with Safrol followed by Pb then iso Safrol. On the other hand, FDMC did not produce any synergism. As for the R f strain, ZR‐515 showed moderate but similar rates of synergism by mixing with Pb, FDMC, iso Safrol and TCP. However, Safrol produced very low level of synergism. ZR‐619 when combined with iso Safrol, Pb and FDMC produced slight antagonism while only slight synergism was detected with the compound Safrol followed by TCP. @default.
