- W2023448660 abstract "Abstract It has been recognized that social considerations, such as population growth, should be included in economic models if they are to be used over long time periods; the present emphasis on problems of natural resource limitation leads to an argument that resource systems should also be included in economic models. Procedures of modeling are important; in fact, a model of model-making may be developed. Socio-economic-resource models may include aspects of econometric, input-output and system dynamics modeling, together with optimization techniques. Somewhat different models for long- and short-range forecasting may be used in conjunction with one another. And, the recognition that transnational corporations, cartels and both user and consumer organizations may be larger than many countries means that they should be included in many large socio-economic models." @default.
