Die Hautreaktion wurde etwa eine Woche lang bis zur vollständigen Abheilung morphologisch, zytologisch und histologisch kontrolliert. Die Autoren stellten fest, daß die erste Barriere gegen das weitere Vordringen der Erreger die Hornschicht bildet, das zweite Hindernis die phagozytierenden Leukozyten darstellen, und letztlich als dritter Schutzmechanismus die um die Gefäße des Bindegewebes gruppierten Lymphozyten wirksam werden. Im Ausstrich beobachteten sie phagozytierte, destruierte und in fädigen Bildungen weiterlebende Pilzelemente. Neben kleinen Lymphozyten konnten sie auch die Anwesenheit von Lymphoblasten nachweisen. Die Untersuchung beweist, daß die Lymphoblasttransformation unter dem Einfluß von adäquatem Antigen auch in vivo zustande kommt. Summary In 56 patients with various dermatological diseases epicutaneous tests with live Candida albicans were carried out. Morphological, cytological and histological follow-up of the skin reaction was continued for a week, until complete healing had ensued. The keratinous layer was found to be the first barrier against further penetration of the pathogen, the phagocytic leucocytes forming the second and the lymphocytes grouped around the vessels of the connective tissue being the third protective mechanism. In smears, phagocytosed and destroyed fungi were seen in addition to fungi surviving in filamentous form. In addition to small lymphocytes, lymphoblasts were demonstrated. The study shows that lymphoblast transformation also occurs under the effect of adequate antigen in vivo. Resumen Los autores realizaron tests epicutáneos con Candida albicans viva en 56 pacientes que padecían de distintas afecciones dermatológicas. Las reacciones cutáneas se controlaron aproximadamente durante una semana, hasta su completa curación, en cuanto a su morfología citológica e histológica. Los autors comprobaron que la córnea forma la primera barrera contra el avance de 10s agentes causales, les leucocitos fagocitantes la segunda barrera y por último actúan como tercer mecanismo defensivo los linfocitos que se agrupan alrededor de los vasos del tejido conectivo. En el extendido pudieron observar elementos micóticos fagocitados y destruidos que se mantenían vivos en agrupaciones deshilachadas. Junto a pequeños linfocitos pudieron demostrar también la existencia de linfoblastos. El examen demuestra que la transformacíon linfoblástica bajo la influencia de antígenos adecuados también se realiza in vivo." @default.
