The effect is attributed to enhancement of the spin polarization of localized magnetic moments by trapped photocarriers. Analysis of the temperature dependence of the photomagnetization signal shows that the spin-lattice relaxation of ${mathrm{Mn}}^{2+}$ in InP is due to the one-phonon direct relaxation (ensuremath{sim}${mathit{T}}^{mathrm{ensuremath{-}}1}$) for T8 K and by the two-phonon Orbach-Blume relaxation (ensuremath{sim}${mathit{T}}^{mathrm{ensuremath{-}}5}$) for T>8 K. Above 1 T, saturation of the photomagnetization is observed giving evidence for aligning of the spins in ferromagnetic spin clusters." @default.
