Treatment of PtO2(PR3)2 with [Pt2(μ-OH)2(PR′3)4]2+ afforded μ-peroxo-diplatinum complexes [(PR3)2Pt(μ-OO)(μ-OH)Pt(PR′3)2]+ (R R′ Ph, p-tolyl; PR3 PPh3; PR′3PMe2Ph, 1 2 Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2). Complexes 2 containing electron-withdrawing peroxo ligands (LnMPh2P(O), (PhO)2P(O), PhS(O)2) oxidized norbornene and cyclohexene to the corresponding epoxides." @default.
