It is found that that the appearance of edge diffusion significantly affects both the recess width and the recess length, and a profile transition from the concave undulation to the straight train can be induced by increasing the edge diffusion rate. The length of the recess can be severely tuned by changing either the terrace length or the lateral mass flux." @default.
