- W2023863767 abstract "Abstract We have reported recently on pulsed high-current experiments in single crystals of the high- T c superconductor Bi 2 Sr 2 CaCu 2 O 8 + δ (BSCCO) in c -axis directed magnetic field [A. Pallinger et al., Phys. Rev. B 78 (2008) 104502]. We have setup empirical forms for the ab -plane resistivity, ρ ab ∝ B 3 / 4 as well as for the c -axis resistivity, ρ ab ∝ B - 3 / 4 log 2 B . Since the in-plane resistivity is interpreted as arising from the motion of Abrikosov vortices, the above result implies that the Bardeen–Stephen law ρ ab ∝ B is violated in this material. Here we analyze additional data both in BSCCO and YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7 (YBCO) to provide further support that the free flux flow resistance is proportional to B 3 / 4 rather than to B ." @default.
