- W2023876895 abstract "Abstract In this study, zirconium dioxide, titanium dioxide and zinc oxide were conducted to be the adsorbents for the removal of phospholipids in crude Jatropha curcas oil. All samples were characterized by the BET sorptometer for N 2 adsorption/desorption, particle size distribution, XRD and zeta potential. Obtained results show that zirconium dioxide can adsorb more phospholipids than other two metal oxides. Zeta potential and pH values were negative correlation, which means under acidity environment the surface property of metal oxide will become more positively charged electricity. Since the electrical charge of phospholipids in the oil is −28.6 mV [1] and the surface property of metal oxide are positive charged, it will improve the ability of metal oxide to adsorb the phospholipids. Concerning the properties of the metal oxides used in this experiment, it has been noted that the use of the zirconium dioxide led to a better result of the phospholipid removal." @default.
