- W2024133039 abstract "Abstract We have built a model for the optical dynamics of a strongly coupled J‐aggregate microcavity. Our model is based on the description of a J‐aggregate film as a disordered Frenkel exciton system in which relaxation occurs due to the presence of a thermal bath of molecular vibrations. In a strongly coupled microcavity the excitation spectrum is modified due to the formation of the excitonpolaritons, in which the superradiant states of the optically resonant film are mixed with the cavity photons. The calculation of the steady‐state photoluminescence, following a constant non resonant pumping, explains the thermal activation of the upper polariton photoluminescence as a consequence of a bottleneck effect in the relaxation.
