- W2024264964 abstract "The corrosion behavior of bulk nanocrystalline Cu prepared by inert gas condensation and in-situ warm compress technique was investigated in 0.1 M HNO3 using immersion test, potentiodynamic polarization test, scanning electron microscope and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Compared with coarse-grained Cu, nanocrystalline Cu also displayed an active dissolution, but exhibited an inferior corrosion resistance. The inferiority of nanocrystalline Cu is mainly attributed to the presence of microvoids and weak links at certain interfaces between grains. These defects may generate severe selected corrosion with autocatalysis effects, which sharply decrease the corrosion resistance of nanocrystalline Cu." @default.
