The calculation is performed using a semi-ab initio tight-binding band-structure technique and standard perturbation theory within the random phase approximation and neglect of local field corrections. The sign of χ(3) (0) is positive for all materials, consistent with experimental results from the literature. Trends are investigated in the periodic table in the structure of χ(3), and shown that the structure in most materials is dominated by 3ω resonances with either the E0 or E1 optical peaks, with the E2 critical points typically making a negligible contribution to χ(3). Für die optische Generation der dritten Harmonischen (THG) in C, Si, Ge, SiC, BP, AIP, AlAs, AlSb, GaP, GaAs, GaSb, InP, InAs und InSb wird eine vollständige Bandstrukturberechnung der Dispersion, Anisotropie und Größe von χ(3) durchgeführt. Dabei wird eine Semi-ab initio-tight-binding-Bandstrukturmethode und Standardstörungstheorie in RPA-Näherung benutzt und Lokalfeldkorrekturen vernachlässigt. Das Vorzeichen von χ(3) (0) ist für alle Materialien positiv in Übereinstimmung mit experimentellen Ergebnissen aus der Literatur. Trends im Periodensystem für die Struktur von χ(3) werden untersucht und gezeigt, daß die Struktur in den meisten Materialien durch 3ω-Resonanzen dominiert werden mit entweder optischen E0- oder E1-kritischen Punkten, wobei die E2 kritischen Punkte typisch einen vernachlässigbaren Beitrag zu χ(3) liefern." @default.
