- W2024586669 abstract "We investigate flavor-changing processes that may occur due to the multigenerational nature of Higgs multiplets in an E/sub 6/ superstring-inspired model. We extend the conventional renormalization-group analysis of electroweak symmetry breaking to include exotic couplings between the second-generation doublets (with the quantum numbers of Higgs particles) and the top quark. Requiring phenomenologically viable electroweak symmetry breaking places an upper bound on the size of these couplings. We then investigate two phenomenological implications: (i) additional contributions to b..-->..s..gamma.. and (ii) additional effects in neutral-meson mixing that can lead to acceptable phenomenology even with a relatively light top quark." @default.
