- W2025698385 abstract "Tuberculous mesenteric retroperitoneal glands are so common and so much has been written about them that only a special research or some unusual peculiarity warrants one in broaching the subject. It is the latter reason that leads me to offer this report. Involvement of a few of the glands is very commonly found at operation or autopsy; general involvement occurs frequently. Localized in the appendix region tuberculous adenitis forms a well-known surgical and clinical picture. Localized in the region of the duodenum, as in the case here reported, producing certain clinical aspects, it may occur more often than we know, but a search of the literature of the past thirty years has brought to light only one similar case coming to autopsy. This is described by Moynihan 1 in his recent work on duodenal ulcer and is included in his list of cases of tuberculous ulceration of the duo" @default.
