- W2026363871 abstract "In this work the influence of a magnetic field on the short- and long-lived components of SO2 fluorescence was studied with broad band excitation by 3080 Å light. Broad band excitation was used in order to exclude the effect of the first mechanism of electron excitation energy relaxation, which involves the coupling of the A1A2 state levels with the triplet state levels via constant spin—orbit interaction. Magnetic field effects on the fluorescence were also measured with stationary excitation by 3130 and 2537 Å light. The results of these measurements were compared with the results obtained in pulsed experiments. A model is proposed which describes the results observed. The analysis of the experimental results in terms of this model has enabled the values of the model parameters to be determined." @default.
