The pulse duration was 5 ns, the pulse power was 50 kW and the wavelength was λ = 337 nm. The reaction product was the E-BN phase which, so far, was only obtained when h-BN was subjected to explosive compression, or by an electron-assisted chemical reaction. The photons did not affect the process temperature. It can be suggested that the photons were adsorbed by the h-BN nuclei and high population of excited states was the reason of the phase transformation of h-BN into E-BN." @default.
