- W2026663570 abstract "We have measured polar angle $(ensuremath{theta})$-resolved time-of-flight spectra of ${mathrm{D}}_{2}$ molecules desorbing from the Si(100) surface. The desorbing ${mathrm{D}}_{2}$ molecules exhibit a considerable translational heating in the entire angle region tested for $0ifmmode^circelsetextdegreefi{}<~ensuremath{theta}<~40ifmmode^circelsetextdegreefi{}.$ The extent of the translational heating tends to weakly decrease with increasing $ensuremath{theta}.$ Taking a simple energy scaling into account the $ensuremath{theta}$ dependences of desorption dynamics is related to the reported adsorption dynamics. Detailed balance is fulfilled in the adsorption/desorption of deuterium on the Si(100) surface." @default.
