- W2026691842 abstract "The H2S oxidation reaction with molecular oxygen on sodium faujasites was investigated in a flow system within the temperature range 0–300 °C and using ESR and UV methods. Elemental sulfur is the primary product, but at temperatures above 20 °C substantial amounts of SO2 were observed in the reaction products. At higher temperatures (70–300 °C) NaY is distinctly more active than NaX. The specific high catalytic of sodium faujasites in the H2S oxidation reaction was observed. This activity is due to the generation of the zeolite surface of radicals such as ·Sx·, HSx·, O2·−, SO2·−, SO3·−, and H2S2·−. These species take part in the reaction as intermediate compounds, and their concentrations strongly influence the reaction rate. On the basis of the results of kinetic and catalytic experiments and literature data, hypotheses concerning some initial reaction steps are presented and discussed." @default.
