Extending prior research on time pressure-creativity relationship, we draw on role theory and propose a curvilinear relationship between time pressure individuals experience at work and their creativity. We further suggest that time pressure, satisfaction with work-family balance (SWFB), and leader-member exchange (LMX) interact with one another and influence creativity at work. We obtained data from 251 employees of a knowledge-intensive organization. The results provided support for the curvilinear relationship and revealed a three-way interaction of time pressure x SWFB x LMX as joint predictors of employee creativity.
