It is applicable to chemical kinetics, reaction-diffusion processes, fluid dynamics, and heat conduction. The method is based on a multivariate master equation that is constructed in such a way that the simulation algorithm avoids time-consuming transition selection procedures, and thus becomes particularly efficient.
