(N,N-Dimethylbenzylamin-C2,N)glycinatopalladium(II) (2a) setzt sich mit Formaldehyd zum entsprechenden N-Methylen-Schiffbase-Komplex 11 um, der mit weiterem Formaldehyd bzw. Acetaldehyd nach reduktiver Eliminierung von Palladium mit H2/Pd-C Serin bzw. Threonin liefert. Mit der Isolierung von 11 wird bestätigt, daß bei der Akabori-Reaktion Aldehyde primär am N-Atom des Glycinato-Liganden angreifen. Aus K2PtCl4 bzw. Na2PdCl4 und Aminosäuren bzw. Aminosäurederivaten wird durch Template-Reaktion mit Pyruvat eine Reihe von N-(1-Carboxyethyliden)-Schiffbase-Chelatkomplexen 13 – 16 erhalten. Die Verbindungen werden IR-und NMR-spektroskopisch (1H, 13C, 195Pt) charakterisiert. Metal Complexes with Biologically Important Ligands, XXXV. A Contribution to the Mechanism of the Akabori Reaction Various Schiff base complexes of nickel(II), cobalt(II), palladium(II), platinum(II), and platinum(IV) 3 – 6, 8 – 10 have been prepared from glycinatometal complexes and amide acetals. (N,N-Dimethylbenzylamine-C2,N)glycinatopalladium(II) (2a) reacts with formaldehyde to give the corresponding N-methylene Schiff base complex 11. Serine or threonine is formed from 11 and RCHO (RH, Me) after reductive elimination of palladium using H2/Pd-C. By isolation of 11 it is confirmed that the Akabori reaction proceeds initially by attack of the aldehyde at the N-atom of the glycinate ligand. The template reaction of K2PtCl4 or Na2PdCl4 and amino acids or amino acid derivatives, respectively, with pyruvate affords a series of N-(1-carboxyethylidene) Schiff base complexes 13 – 16. The IR and NMR data (1H, 13C, 195Pt) of the compounds are reported." @default.
