From these temperatures, plasma densities are calculated using the Saha equation for an equilibrium argon plasma. Near the probe, where local thermodynamic equilibrium conditions are not satisfied, the undisturbed electron densities are estimated using the continuum electrostatic probe theory. The results of these calculations are found to be consistent and in order of magnitude agreement with the equilibrium plasma densities." @default.
