- W2030482642 abstract "Magnetization curves simulations are reported for [Co10ÅRux]n superlattices with different Ru thicknesses x = 10, 20, 28 and 32 Å. These samples present both a perpendicular anisotropy and an antiferromagnetic exchange coupling. The numerical calculations were performed using a model expressing the energy as a function of the relative orientation of the magnetization not only between Co layers separated by Ru but also within the Co layers themselves. Each Co magnetic layer is divided into three magnetic parts: (i) Two of them whose moments are antiferromagnetically coupled through the Ru layer correspond to the “interfacial” planes. (ii) The third one represents the inner planes whose moments are ferromagnetically coupled to the interfacial ones. The results are in good agreement with the experimental curves and show that the model allows a good description of the particular magnetization curves which saturate in two stages: a rapid saturation of about 80 % of the total magnetization, followed by a slow increase up to very high fields until the total saturation is reached." @default.
