We describe a case of multiple right-sided, NSAID-induced, colonic diaphragm-like strictures occurring in a 66-year-old woman using etodolac chronically for arthritic symptoms who presented with iron deficiency anemia. These strictures were detected radiologically and colonoscopically and successfully managed with discontinuation of NSAIDs and balloon dilation. This case report reinforces the point that colonic strictures can be a manifestation of frequent NSAID use and serves as the impetus for a review of other colonic mucosal injuries caused by NSAIDs." @default.
