- W2031097015 abstract "A series of H2-F2-Ar flames at P = 8 mbar have been investigated spectroscopically to determine HF rotational and vibrational populations. In all cases the rotational distribution has reached a partial equilibrium characterized by a rotational temperature. The non-equilibrium vibrational distribution allows the evaluation of vibration-translation relaxation rates. The value n = 1 can be determined for the quantum number dependence of the relaxation rate constant k(v → v - 1) = vn k(1 → 0), whereas values n ≥ 2 can be excluded. Moreover, a chain branching process such as HF (v > 2) + F2 → HF + F + F with k ≈︁ 1013 cm3/mol·s can be shown to be essential. Eine Reihe von H2 - F2 - Ar-Flammen bei P = 8 mbar wurde zur Bestimmung der Rotations- und Schwingungsbesetzungen des Reaktionsproduktes HF spektroskopisch untersucht. In allen Fällen hat die Rotationsverteilung ein partielles Gleichgewicht erreicht, das durch eine Rotationstemperatur charakterisiert werden kann. Die Nicht-Gleichgewichts-Besetzung der Schwingungszustände erlaubt die Auswertung von Schwingungs-Translations-Relaxationsgeschwindigkeiten. Der Wert n = 1 kann für die Quantenzahlabhängigkeit der Relaxations-Geschwindigkeitskonstanten k(v → v - 1) = vnk(1 → 0) abgeleitet werden, während Werte n ≥ 2 ausgeschlossen werden können. Darüber hinaus kann gezeigt werden, daß eine Kettenverzweigungsreaktion wie z. B. HF (v > 2) + F2 → HF + F + F mit einer Geschwindigkeitskonstanten k ≈︁ 1013 cm3/mol·s eine wesentliche Rolle spielen muß." @default.
