Low efficiency of such systems is connected with the instability of vertical motion v z = 0 and v z = 0.5, large effective width of the iron magnetic-channel septum, and inadequate acceptance of the channel and regenerator. A wide-aperture extraction system for the 1 GeV synchrocyclotron based on this analysis is worked out to increase the extraction efficiency. The distinguishing features involved in the realization of the system are described. The extraction efficiency is about 30%, with a good agreement between the theoretical and experimental beam parameters." @default.
