A system of thirteen, coupled, first‐order partial differential equations is solved for the velocity vector components, stress tensor components, and pressure associated with solid and fluid constituents of the composite medium. A massively parallel computational implementation, utilizing the spatial domain decomposition strategy, allows investigation of large‐scale earth models and/or broadband wave propagation within reasonable execution times.Permalink: https://doi.org/10.1190/1.1845188FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByTutorial: Source simulation for 3D poroelastic wave equationsYijie Zhang and Jinghuai Gao9 October 2019 | GEOPHYSICS, Vol. 84, No. 6Poroelastic model-based time-lapse modeling of the Quest carbon storage project in AlbertaShahin Moradi, Don C.
