- W2034213808 abstract "Abstract In this paper, the incremental endochronic plasticity of metals, proposed by the author, is extended into a finite element analysis (called EndoFEM). The algorithm of the EndoFEM proposed possess a very good behavior of computational convergence and precision. The computational results are very unique under various step sizes of load increment and various values of convergent tolerance. In the application of an OFHC plate with double edged notches, an equivalent endochronic time scale is introduced, by using a loading and then unloading method, to account for the historical effects of specimen preparations. Different data of fundamental tests provided by several authors can then be bonded together to derive a consistent endochronic constitutive model. The computational results of EndoFEM on the cyclic strain distribution in the vicinity of the edge notch agree very well with experimental data. In the application of RQC-100 steel SAE key-hole specimen with fatigue crack, the derived endochronic constitutive model has predictive capabilities in the hysteresis loops of stress-strain curves under various strain amplitudes. Computational results of crack opened and closed loads of specimen agree very well with the data." @default.
