La théorie de Fuoss/Onsager est appliquée à conductivitée et les fonctions caractéristiques en sont déduites. La constante d'association et le paramètre a0 augmentent tandis que la constante diélectrique diminue. Le tracé de log KA en fonction de D−1 n'est pas linéaire; ceci indique les paires d'ions separées dans le solvant se retrouvent dans un système caractérisé par une forte liaison hydrogène.
