Based upon a field survey, the study revealed that Thai exporters perceive that overseas market information is useful and tend to use their own personnel to seek for the information they desire. The most useful and frequently sought information includes data on competition, market size, trading partners, and elements of the marketing mix (especially price, product features, and promotion). Finally, Thai firms that rely more on export sales or serve numerous export markets appear to place more importance on international marketing research in order to reduce the financial risks encountered in foreign markets." @default.
