As might be expected, the chapter on haptoglobin is outstanding, but there are equally scholarly and complete sections on the immunoglobulins, transferrin, the Ge system, β-lipoprotein allotypes, pseudocholinesterase, alkaline phosphatase, glucose-G-phosphate dehydrogenase and the hemoglobins. Within the unreserved praise I would give this book, I must point out that the section on blood groups is the weakest. Dr. Giblett deals with the difference between the Race-Sanger concept and that of Wiener as a problem of" @default.
