- W2035728164 abstract "We present specific-heat data of ${mathrm{K}}_{2}$Pt(CN${)}_{4}$${mathrm{Br}}_{0.3}$ensuremath{cdot}3.2(${mathrm{D}}_{2}$O) in the temperature range from 0.1 to 30 K. We analyze various contributions in excess to that of phonons and relate them to the presence of a charge-density wave (CDW) in this quasi-one-dimensional compound: low-energy excitations, predominant below 0.5 K with a temperature dependence in ${mathit{T}}^{0.5}$, and an excess ${mathit{C}}_{mathit{p}}$/${mathit{T}}^{3}$ contribution centered around 7 K that we ascribe to phase-mode excitations of the CDW. The phonon contribution follows a slightly subcubic variation in ${mathit{T}}^{2.8}$, revealing a large anisotropy in the force constants. Contrary to the case of other charge-density-wave compounds, no aging effects in the energy relaxation were detected." @default.
