- W2035810601 abstract "With the development of partially prestressing technique, the application of prestressed concrete was extended to protective structures. Despite those known advantages of higher crack resistance, higher solidity and lighter weight, the absence of systematic, theoretical investigations, as well as simple analytical methods in prestressed structures demonstrate a drawback in design and assessment of blast-resistant structures. An approach based on the layered section method was presented in this paper to predict the static resistance-deflection curves of partially prestressed concrete beam-slab structures, and it was validated by test data. Based on the layered section method for static analysis, a new analytical method was proposed to investigate the dynamic responses of the partially prestressed concrete beams subjected to blast loads. The new method incorporated an elasto/viscoplastic rate-sensitive model with the proposed analytical approach for static analysis into an equivalent single degree of freedom (SDOF) system. The analytical results agreed well with the test data. And some main affecting factors on the dynamic responses of the structures were discussed. It is demonstrated that the dynamic resistance of partially prestressed concrete structures is improved with the increasing of initial prestressing force and partially prestressing ratio (PPR)." @default.
