This body, considered previously as an ovular centrosome or as an extruded nucleolus, is in fact a yolk-nucleus. 3. The hypothesis is presented that it should also act as a germinal determinant. During cleavage, it is located, undivided, in one of the blastomeres. At the beginning of gastrulation, it always ends up in the germinal initial cells." @default.
