- W2040976324 abstract "Abstract YBa 2 (Cu 1− x Fe x ) 3 O y ( x =0.02 and 0.06) was prepared by vacuum calcination at 673 K. The crystal structure and superconducting properties of the samples were examined by XRD, TEM and AC susceptibility measurements. Both the x =0.02 and 0.06 samples underwent an orthorhombic to tetragonal phase transition near y =6.6. The x =0.06 samples with y >6.53 had a microdomain structure composed of an orthorhombic phase with a size less than 10 nm. The variation of T c in these samples was similar to that observed for the undoped samples, e.g., the x =0.02 samples showed a plateau at ~50 K for 6.55⩽ y ⩽6.70. In addition, the tetragonal Fe-doped samples with x =0.02 ( y =6.56 and 6.48) were found to be superconducting, and the orthorhombic Fe-doped sample ( x =0.06 and y =6.59) was not superconducting. Thus, we can conclude that the superconducting properties of this system are sensitive to the oxygen content and not to the structure." @default.
