Trophic hormone deficiencies were permanent and necessitated replacement therapy.CASE REPORTThe patient, a 43-year-old single white female, was admitted to the University of Illinois Research and Educational Hospitals Clinics in 1949 with the complaint of bilateral breast pain and nodularity. This was diagnosed as chronic cystic mastitis.
