We indicate how measurements of particle production at and near zero degrees---at extreme values of rapidity (or pseudorapidity)---can overcome these uncertainties. Experiments of this nature are possible at the Fermilab Tevatron and will be possible at the CERN Large Hadron Collider, and should resolve the questions concerning the interpretation of cosmic ray data up to the highest measured energies." @default.
