With (I), (III) and (IV) the predominant process is the hydrogen abstraction, whilst for (II) both mechanisms are important. The results have been applied for the elucidation of some aspects of the initiating mechanism of peroxide-induced cross-linking of EPDM and EPTM terpolymers containing (I)-(IV) pendants. Sono state determinate le costanti cinetiche relative per le reazioni di estrazione di idrogeno e addizione al doppio legame tra radicali t-butossilici (CH3)3 CO' e i composti modello 5-etilidénnorbornano (I), deidrodiciclopentadiene (II), isopropilidendiciclopentene (III) e metilciclopentadienilnorbornil metano (IV); come reazione di referimento è stata impiegata l'estrazione di idrogenb da isottano. In (I), (III) e (IV) prevale nettamente l'estrazione di idrogeno mentre in (II) entrambi i meccanismi sono importanti. I risultati sono stati utilizzati per chiarire alcuni aspetti della fase di innesco della reticolazione indotta da perossidi in terpolimeri EPDM e EPTM contenenti gruppi insaturi (I)-(IV)." @default.
