An antiferromagnetic transition is found in (GdS)1.20TaS2 and (DyS)1.22TaS2 with Néel temperatures of 4.1 and 1.7K, respectively, which are strongly depressed in comparison with those of corresponding rare earth monosulfide. (SmS)1.19 TaS2 exhibits weak magnetic behavior indicating the divalent state of Sm, though trivalence is expected from the lattice constant." @default.
