- W2044939338 abstract "Abstract Over the last 10 to 15 years there has been much work on determining and constructing optimal and efficient crossover or repeated measurements designs. Much of this work is based on a statistical model which was introduced over 50 years ago for an agricultural experiment. Aspects of this model have recently been questioned, especially in relation to the way it incorporates carryover treatment effects. The suitability of this model for use in medical applications is reviewed, with particular emphasis on its implications for design theory. Optimal designs for two treatments under an amended model are presented. Some results for a dose-escalation study are also given." @default.
