- W2045405170 abstract "An obvious characteristic of current-algebra symmetry is its brokenness. Therefore, we consider the role of quantities which are a manifestation of that breakage, such as the divergences of axial-vector currents ${D}_{i}(x)$. It is relevant to investigate the commutation properties of these densities and it is found that the ${D}_{i}(x)$ could commute with one another at equal times. The argument for this commuting property, involving a matrix element of time-derivative, axial-vector charges, contains the assumption of an unsubtracted dispersion relation. Should the densities ${D}_{i}(x)$ (or their space-integrated correspondences, the time derivatives of axial-vector charges) prove useful for multiplet building, the origin of possible manifestations in a particle spectrum of a noncompact group could lie in the brokenness of the compact symmetry. Further, the hypothesis of no subtractions may provide a link between noncompactness of a particle spectrum and the bootstrap." @default.
