- W2045684098 abstract "The Ru3(CO)12/Ru(CO)5-equilibrium was investigated. It was observed, that the rate of equilibration is slow even at higher temperatures (e.g. ca. 550 h at 100°C, 2.50 bar CO in isooctane and ca. 10 h at 150°C, 5.4 bar CO in n-hexane). It is about doubled if the carbon monoxide contains 2% H2. The ruthenium concentrations were measured by IR spectroscopy using a high pressure infrared cell. Thorough solubility and density measurements were performed for carbon monoxide in n-hexane. The temperature dependence of the equilibrium constant, extrapolated to 1 bar, is given by the equation ln K°a = K°x = −7.32+1560/T. For the temperature range 100°−175°C, the enthalpy of reaction, ΔH°R, calculated therefrom is −13.0±1.1 kJ/mol and the entropy of reaction ΔS°R. is −60.8±2.6 J/mol K. From the former, an enthalpy of formation, ΔH°f{Ru(CO)5} of −714±10kJ/mol and an enthalpy of disruption, ΔH°disr{Ru(CO)5}, of 819±11kJ/mol can be calculated. The mean RuRu bond dissotation enthalpy, R(RuRu), is 159±3kJ/mol, the one for the RuCO bond, D(RuCO), is 164±2 kJ/mol. Das Ru3(CO)12/Ru(CO)5-Gleichgewicht wurde untersucht. Es wurde beobachtet, daß die Gleichgewichtseinstellung selbst bei höheren Temperaturen langsam ist (z.B. ca. 550 h bei 100°C, 25.0 Bar CO in Isooktan und ca. 10 h bei 150°C, 5.4 Bar CO in n-Hexan) und daß sie sich mit ca 2% H2 im verwendeten CO etwa verdoppelt. Die Rutheniumkonzentrationen wurden aus Hochdruck-Infrarotmessungen, diejenigen von CO in n-Hexan durch separate Löslichkeits- und Dichtemessungen bestimmt. Die Temperaturabhängigkeit der auf 1 Bar Totaldruck extrapolierten Gleichgewichtskonstanten läßt sich beschreiben nach ln K°x = ln K°x = −7.32+1560/T. Daraus läßt sich für den Temperaturbereich von 100°–175°C eine Reaktionsenthalpie, ΔH°R, von −13.0±1.1 kJ/mol sowie eine Reaktionsentropie, ΔS°R, von −60.8±2.6 J/mol K berechnen. Für Ru(CO)5 lässt sich davon eine Bildungsenthalpie, ΔH°f{Ru(CO)5}, von −714±10 kJ mol und eine Spaltungsenthalpie, ΔH°dsr{Ru(CO)5}, von 819±11 kJ/mol ableitet. Die mittlere Bindungsenthalpie der RuRu Bindung, D(RuRu), beträgt 159±3 kJ/mol, diejenige der RuCO Bindung, D(RuCO), 164±2kJ/mol." @default.
