Then these sidebands appear as a projected density of states and this quantity is obtained from theoretical dispersion curves which have been calculated using a point-ion electrostatic model. The adjustable parameters have been determined through the experimental low-energy-phonon frequencies. We discuss also the experimental and theoretical results on infrared absorption of microcrystalline samples and the shape of dispersion curves of phonons." @default.
